Turning One Doctor’s Dream of Leading Clinical Research Into Reality
In 2021, Lumi Research partnered with an oncology group in North Houston area who previously had limited access to research opportunities. Prior to Lumi’s involvement, conducting clinical research was not feasible due to a lack of experience with principal investigators (PIs).
Lumi played a key role in bridging this gap. Through diligent negotiation with sponsors and one-on-one investigator mentorship and training, Lumi secured the opportunity for one local oncologist based in the North Houston group, to become a PI for their very first clinical trial in 2022. This initial success established their credibility and paved the way for further collaboration.
Since then, Lumi’s persistence and expertise have yielded impressive results. They’ve secured contracts with over 20 major pharmaceutical companies, allowing them to lead over 40 clinical trials (and counting). This represented a major turning point in the clinical research landscape for their patients.
