Dr. Irfan Jawed specializes in the use of novel molecular tools and targeted therapies for the treatment of cancer. He completed his medical oncology training and clinical practice at Georgetown University Hospital, the National Naval Medical System, and the National Institutes of Health, where he served as Chief Fellow of the Medical Oncology Fellowship Program. Dr. Jawed also trained at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Weill Cornell University Hospital, completing fellowship training in Pain Medicine and Palliative/ Hospice Care. In addition to his clinical work, he has served as teaching faculty at the University of Washington School of Medicine, and served as Co-Director of the National Institute of Medical Research.
